7 South African Startups Selected as the Finalists to Compete at the Seedstars South Africa Finals

TechInAfrica – The largest startup competition for emerging markets, Seedstars World has finally named its South African finalists. The event was held at Seedspace Cape Town and has chosen 7 startup finalists to compete at the finale event on November 14, 2018.

The winner will represent South Africa to compete at the finale event as well as receive an all-exclusive trip to Switzerland where the Seedstars Summit will be held to select the Seedstars Global Winner. The Global Winner will be awarded US$1 Million is investments as well as many other interesting prizes.

The 7 selected startups that will compete at the Seedstars South Africa finals are; Kuba, Slide Financial, HouseME, Franc Group, Maxicash, Uthini, and Squirrel. They will compete and be assessed by jury consists of Vuyisa Qabaka, Partner at HYBR,  Minette Havemann, Strategy Manager: Exploration/Naspers Ventures at Naspers Limited Claudia Makadristo Regional Manager for Africa at Seedstars and Stuart van der Veen, Head of Disruption and Innovation at Nedbank.
