Alosab is a startup that was launched in September 2017 with the objective of addressing the hustle of house hunting across Nigeria’s cities. Therefore, this startup seeks to make house hunting and renting a more straightforward task for every person through the provision of users with a simple and smart platform, which will make renting easy. The startup’s main goal is to satisfy its users by easing the problem of house hunting as well as other associated issues such as the users of the moving in as quickly as they want. Additionally, this startup offers services not only for apartments to live in, but also for workspaces, centers, and shops.

The founder and CEO of Alosab, Stephen Oloh adds that he was inspired to enter into this venture based on a personal experience he had with an acclaimed rental agency in Nigeria. He went through the agency website to select the preferred apartment, and as he proceeded to view and pay for the house, it was no longer available. Consequently, Oloh was forced to walk and search for a house for himself, an experience he terms frustrating!

Therefore, Oloh seeks to use his experience to cushion other clients from going through similar encounters as his. In his platform, a user places a request, which will find a match of the appropriate house, based on the user’s description. Moreover, once the user has selected his or her preference house, they can be able to track the company’s progress in finding a place for them. Right now, Oloh has over 300 monthly users, and he is currently looking for potential investors. Additionally, his current focus is on the Nigerian market, and he seeks to capture the market fully with future expansion plans to Ghana as well as other Sub-Saharan countries in the continent.
