Centbee Secures R18.3 Million to Expand Their Business

TechInAfrica – A South Africa-based bitcoin startup, Centbee, has secured R18.3 investment from Calvin Ayre, an entrepreneur and the founder of Ayre Ventures and CoinGeek. The investment was facilitated nChain—the leading blockchain advisory, research, and development firm.

The Ayre’s investment is one of his missions to advance the Bitcoin SV ecosystem. On the other hand, nChain will support the startup by providing technical consulting services and access to its intellectual property portfolio.

Ayre said: “Centbee has a track record of making Bitcoin easily usable and accessible to everyone including merchants and consumers. They support the original Bitcoin protocol in the form of Bitcoin SV and have demonstrated an extraordinary ability to attract users and we’re proud to support their further growth.”

Centbee is a South Africa-based Bitcoin startup co-founded by Lorien Gamaroff and Angus Brown. It provides Bitcoin Cash wallet developed for the global market. Its wallet opens access to Bitcoin cash (BCH), the upgraded version of Bitcoin (BTC). Its Bitcoin cash provides secure, fast, and affordable cryptocurrency transactions.
