Jessica O. Matthews is a tech entrepreneur who has won some awards in the tech ecosystem. Mathews discusses renewable energy. She also discusses what it is like to be a millennial in the tech business ecosystem. Mathew founded Uncharted Power when she was 22 years old. Uncharted Power is a renewable energy firm that harnesses kinetic energy. It is developed from the motion of daily objects into an ecosystem that can power daily devices.

The creation of the award-winning company has helped to bring power to both African and the diaspora communities. Matthews has got some accolades on her name such as being named as one of the OkayAfrica’s 100 Women in 2017 in the latest tech entrepreneur that is yet to be featured in “African Next” series of Samsung Next. Apart from that Matthews featured in Forbes. Matthews said that she felt confident about what is being developed at Uncharted Power. She added that she is sure that the development is going to change how people think about energy and especially the way people consume energy.

She uses a short video to discuss her journey to becoming an African leader in the tech industry and how it feels like being a millennial in that field. The video dubbed Africa Next series brings out young African entrepreneurs in the field of tech throughout Africans in the diaspora who are innovators in their respective fields.
