 Nigerian On-demand workspace app startup

Spaceba, a Nigerian startup was launched in January 2017.  The startup is an online marketing platform for meeting and office spaces. The platform ‘Hora app’ enables creative, digital, entrepreneurs and freelancers to access various workspaces and subscribe services. The initiative charge users based on the usage and duration taken on the platform. The platform provides free space booking system monthly, hourly, daily or even annually. The startup is only situated in Lagos Nigeria currently but has over 300 spaces on the platform. The average system booking request worth $250,000 derived from about 100 subscribers.

According to Taiwo Akinseye, Spaceba co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO0, it may be difficult to find meeting space. He added that people all over the world struggle to secure well-serviced offices with no success. Akinseye notes further that the entrepreneurs’ flexibility, millennial targets and minimum operation costs catalyzed the development of Hora app. The platform illustrates distribution and payment of spaces in the system via an app.

The platform allows the business individuals to transact in the network at NGN2, 000 (US$5.50) monthly.
