The company currently raised $15 million in Series B funding. Currently, the startup has 30 employees. The company’s clients include Tesla, Proctor, Uber and The International Red Cross. Mr. Ankumah noted that a lifelong student requires a change of mindsets.

Despite Ankumah’s passion for engineering, he took a long time before accessing a computer. He got exposed to a computer at the Cal Tech after many years of darkness. He narrated that his career originated from Cal Tech video games maker. Therefore, he yearned to take part in the programming exercise.

Mr. Ankumah was born in Ghana in a family of five children. The parents worked in Ghana’s travel and tourism sector. His parents founded the travel agency 45 years ago in Ghana. He attended boy’s boarding school at 15 years of age. Considering the stiff competition and commitment he had, he attained good academic grade.

He applied for college studies outside the country because of strikes in his native country. He secured a chance in the University of California where he pursued a bachelor degree in electrical engineering and computer science. He also obtained a Masters degree in Business Administration from Harvard University. In 2008, he worked with Aruba Networks and became the director from 2012 to 2013 at Meraki, Inc.
