We have over the years written about startups, and we know most of you sometimes wonder what happened to these newbies? Well, most of them grow to business phase while others barely make their first step to being mature firms.

It is always interesting and educating to know what happened along the way so that it becomes a lesson to those planning to take the road of business from the ground up.

To kick-start on this series of follow up articles is Wangu. Wangu is a startup that was founded by Zimbabwean Farai Mundangepfupfu in 2014. The app generally offers a socializing platform to Zimbabweans of different walks of life.

It was easy to compare it to modern day Facebook. It however got lost along the way as it struggled to find stability. However, they recently appeared on the Herald fresh and energized to take the Zimbabwean digital scene by storm. Follow up our interview here.
