The Southern Africa Startup Awards to Open for Nominations on April 29

TechInAfrica – Setup A Startup has announced that nominations for the second edition of Southern Africa Startup Awards will open on April 29, 2019. They were launched on April 10th at Impact Hub Johannesburg, South Africa.

All startups from Southern African Development Community member states—Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe—can be nominated for the awards.

The investment platform, EasyEquities which was the winner of the Startup and Fintech of Year, will review all of the fintech finalists’ business cases with the mentoring objective and match them with the distribution via its platform.

The partnership will enable EasyEquities to assist and guide fintech finalists with the development and improvement of their offerings, obtainment of customers, as well as fundraising.

Setup A Startup is currently seeking out for ambassadors to help in nominating startups around their local networks for the Southern Africa Startup Awards.

Speaking about partners, this year’s awards’ regional partners include Caban InvestmentsSeedLife Caban Impact Investment Fund, and the Southern Africa Innovation Support Program.
