The Trevor Noah Foundation founded by Trevor Noah, the host of Daily Show was launched on 4th April 2018. Noah is a South African based comedian who decided to venture into entrepreneurship. Besides, the Trevor Noah foundation has partnered with Microsoft. The partnership aims at helping the vulnerable youths and orphans to excel in education. The organization was launched in Johannesburg SA and the partners discussed the best way of equipping the vulnerable youths and orphans with the best education. They also discussed how to equip the two groups with the best life skills and social capital. This is required by them after matric or school graduation.
The main goal of the foundation is educating the youths. Moreover, the management decided to inculcate in technology to act as a supplement. The organization aims at bridging the gap that is there between children and education. Therefore, this ensures that children especially orphans get the required quality education. Furthermore, the newly launched organization will focus on providing capital and required tools. This will help the youths in accessing education in any given institution countrywide.
The firm is offering a leveled education ground. This offers every child a chance to succeed without straining. Besides, Microsoft will develop computer labs in learning institutions. This will ensure that children are able to access the best technology required by accessing the tools. Furthermore, the foundation will invest in career development, psycho-social support, and skills development. It will also partner with government schools if not mobilizing philanthropic. Furthermore, it will carry out research on innovative approaches. This will help in bringing notable changes to the South African youths.
The partnership will also ensure that all educational institutions and children access the necessary tools. According to Brad Smith, Microsoft president, youths require best teachers and schools that are well equipped with computers for them to excel. Noah is not a new figure in Microsoft Company. He gave a talk a to the Microsoft community in 2016 about his newly launched book named Born a Crime. Moreover, Satya Nadella, Microsoft CEO was live on The Daily Show in November 2017.
