Lawyers Hub Kenya invites applications to the Africa Start-up Law Accelerator

A law accelerator just launched in Kenya to help start-ups scale their businesses.

The Lawyer’s Hub has launched the Start-up Law Accelerator, a partnership between GoDo Hub Nigeria, HYBR South Africa, and  Tech Build Africa. This program intends to help startups scale their operations.

The Africa Start-up Law Accelerator will support and promote the growth of startups by combining the needs of the accelerator in strategy and business development with training on the legal strategy required for the growth, investor readiness, and sustainability of start-ups.

Pre-seed startups from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda, and Tanzania are invited to apply for the pilot program due to run for 12 weeks. In addition, the Lawyers Hub will also run the 2021  Africa LawTech Festival with support from the Omidyar Network. The event will be held on the  5th-9th of July.

The virtual edition is themed ‘Digital Policy for Economic Growth.’ The central focus areas are on:

  • Internet Governance and Content Moderation
  • Startup and Trade Law
  • Artificial Intelligence and Ethics
  • Digital Identity
  • Blockchain and Digital Currencies
