Global Industrial Giants Choose Morocco for First African Manufacturing Exhibition as WAM Morocco Unveils Continental Startup Pavilion

The World Advanced Manufacturing & Future Mobility Exhibition (WAM Morocco) has attracted a remarkable lineup of global industrial leaders, many of whom are attending their first manufacturing exhibition in Morocco. This marks a major milestone in Morocco’s growing reputation as a key hub for Industry 4.0 and intelligent manufacturing across Africa.

The event, running from January 20 to 22 at Foire Internationale de Casablanca, features prominent first-time exhibitors, such as SAP, Sumitomo Corporation, ENGIE, Vigel, and Zoho Corporation. They join over 100 participating companies from 18 countries, including the United States, Portugal, Spain, France, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Vietnam, Netherlands, and Italy.

WAM Morocco is a platform that brings together some of the biggest names in global technology and industrial innovation, including Schneider Electric, Teledyne, Vivo Energy, Autoritat PortuĂ ria de Barcelona, Kirby Building Systems, and OCP Circular Technologies. This convergence of global industry leaders provides a unique opportunity for cross-border collaboration, technology transfer, and investment across Africa’s industrial landscape.

Trixie LohMirmand, CEO of KAOUN International, commented, “The caliber of companies choosing WAM Morocco for their first manufacturing exhibition in the region highlights the tremendous momentum behind Morocco’s industrial transformation. These global leaders see Morocco not just as a participant in the future of intelligent manufacturing, but as a key player shaping that future. WAM Morocco is the strategic platform where global innovation and regional ambition intersect, creating new avenues for collaboration that will define Africa’s industrial future.”

A spokesperson from UM6P shared, “Our participation in WAM Morocco reflects our belief in Morocco’s potential to lead a new era of intelligent industrial ecosystems. This platform offers a unique opportunity for collaboration, innovation, and acceleration of technologies that will shape the future of manufacturing.”

The significance of the event is further enhanced by the strong support from Morocco’s leading industrial and institutional stakeholders, such as MSC Pro, CDD, CE3M, Amlog, Fenagri, CGM, OFPPT, and UM6P, alongside strategic sponsors like Seidor, Transit Aharram, and Plastic Science by Design. This institutional backing, combined with the support of Morocco’s financial institutions and industry federations, including CDG and APEBI, positions WAM Morocco as a government-backed catalyst for industrial progress nationwide.

Hatim Chraibi, Principal at SPIRE Advisory Group, noted, “WAM Morocco is one of the few events where all key stakeholders—industry leaders, policymakers, and investors—are brought together. It serves as a crucial platform for creating synergies, raising awareness, and unlocking Morocco and Africa’s industrial potential.”

In an exciting development, WAM Morocco introduces the region’s first international startup pavilion, supported by Invest India. This pavilion aims to fast-track cross-border industrial innovation and create direct pathways between African industrial challenges and global startup solutions. Additionally, the Supernova Challenge, Africa’s inaugural manufacturing-focused startup competition, will offer a USD 10,000 prize, attracting over 40 startups competing in areas like advanced manufacturing, supply chain optimization, industrial automation, and future mobility.

The top 10 finalists of the Supernova Challenge will showcase groundbreaking innovations in sectors like robotics, AI-driven quality control, sustainable materials, industrial IoT, smart logistics, and next-gen energy systems. These startups will present their ideas to a panel of investors and industry leaders, with winners not only securing funding but also strategic partnerships that will accelerate their market entry in Africa and beyond.

Jaafar Elalamy, CEO of Seiki, underscored the event’s timely relevance: “WAM Morocco presents a unique opportunity to highlight the strategic importance of mobility data in building smarter, more sustainable cities. As Morocco is positioned between Africa and Europe, it could serve as a model for data-driven urban planning, especially as the country prepares for the 2030 World Cup and the Digital Morocco 2030 initiative.”

Further broadening the event’s African reach, WAM Morocco has welcomed FEWACCI (Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce & Industry) as a new strategic partner. This partnership connects Morocco’s industrial ecosystem with the rapidly growing markets of West Africa, unlocking significant opportunities for regional trade, investment, and technological advancement.

Organized by KAOUN International (DWTC) in close collaboration with regional and international partners such as MSC Pro, CDD, UM6P, Advantage Austria, Der Mittelstand, and BVMW (Germany), WAM Morocco brings together leaders from the public and private sectors to drive Industry 4.0 transformation across borders.

With support from GITEX Africa, WAM Morocco is part of one of the world’s most influential technology ecosystems, positioning Morocco as a continental epicenter for advanced industrial transformation and Industry 4.0.

WAM Morocco will be held in Casablanca from January 20 to 22, and it serves as the region’s premier platform for advanced manufacturing. Industry leaders, innovators, and investors are invited to participate in this defining event.
