TikTok Launches ‘TikTok for Artists’ in Kenya, Empowering Musicians with Data-Driven Insights to Boost Global Careers

 

TikTok has officially launched TikTok for Artists in Kenya , expanding its global rollout that began in June. This platform is designed to provide artists, their labels, and teams with comprehensive tools and data to understand their music’s performance, audience engagement, and to promote their work effectively)

TikTok for Artists offers daily-updated dashboards and detailed analytics, giving unprecedented access to transparent, actionable data. Key features include]

  • Song Performance: Metrics on the number of views, posts, and creator engagements per track

  • Post Performance: Insights into views, likes, comments, shares, and post completion rates.

  • Follower Insights: Demographic breakdowns by gender, age, and language.

 

  • Step-by-Step Guides: Tutorials on utilizing TikTok’s tools and features

  • Career Resources: Support and resources for building a long-term music career.

Additionally, the platform introduces the Pre-Release Tool, enabling artists to create campaigns for upcoming albums and allow fans to pre-save directly to their 

streaming platforms, such as Spotify or Apple Music. 

Toyin Mustapha, Head of Music Partnerships for the UK, Ireland, and Sub-Saharan Africa at TikTok, emphasized that this launch aims to empower artists with insights that can help them engage their fans in more meaningful ways and grow their careers globally. He stated, “This platform is about putting powerful, transparent data in the hands of creators so they can make smarter decisions and connect with the global TikTok community.” TikTok for Artists is now available to all artists with a certified TikTok Artist Account in Kenya. Artists can also grant access to their managers and label teams, ensuring that the right people have the insights they need to plan effective campaigns.
