UK Firm Klipboard Acquires South African Sales Platform Skynamo

UK-based software provider Klipboard has acquired South African sales operations platform Skynamo, according to announcements from both companies.

Skynamo was founded in 2012 (originally as Honeybee) by Sam Clarke (CEO), according to company information. The company provides a mobile-first, cloud-based platform for manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors.

Klipboard is a global provider of vertically focused business management software serving over 55,000 enterprise and SMB customers worldwide, according to company information.

The platform supports nearly 1,000 businesses and facilitates over $70 million in monthly order value, according to company data. The company supports millions of customer interactions annually, according to the announcement.

Skynamo operates across Sub-Saharan Africa, the UK, and the US, according to company information.

Previous Funding

Skynamo raised a $30 million Series A funding round in January 2020, according to company records.

Skynamo will continue operating under its established brand, with sustained investment in product development, innovation, and customer support, according to the announcement.

Skynamo’s platform provides field sales teams with tools to plan routes, build orders, access real-time product and pricing data, and manage financial visibility and sales intelligence in one cloud-based environment, according to the company description.

The partnership enhances Skynamo’s ability to integrate more deeply with ERP and business management systems, according to the announcement.
