Egypt’s GrowthLabs Acquires Startup Gate in $656K Deal

Egyptian startup support platform GrowthLabs has acquired Startup Gate in a transaction valued at approximately EGP 35 million, equivalent to roughly USD 656,000.

The deal merges GrowthLabs’ “Catalyst OS” backend, used by accelerators and incubators, with Startup Gate’s front-end founder-investor network. Startup Gate was founded in 2025 by Emmy Tawfik

The combined platform is positioned to address fragmented startup data and provide end-to-end visibility across the discovery-to-funding pipeline. Tawfik takes on the role of COO following the acquisition, with advisory firm M-Empire having brokered the transaction. The merged entity has announced plans to expand into five new markets before the end of 2026.
