Egyptian property technology startup Aqar Exit has secured $200,000 in fresh investment at a $2 million valuation, marking an important step in its plans to expand its services and enter new markets.
the funding came from Ayman Mamdouh Abbas, executive chairman of Intro Holding Group, who acquired a 10% equity stake in the company.
Aqar Exit’s founder and chairman, Mahmoud Ammar, disclosed the investment during an interview with Al Arabiya Business. The deal follows the startup’s participation in the fifth season of Shark Tank Egypt, where it introduced its property technology solution to potential investors.
Established in 2026, Aqar Exit operates a digital platform that helps property buyers who are struggling to meet their installment obligations transfer their purchase contracts to new buyers.
The platform aims to simplify property contract assignments by connecting sellers with qualified buyers while providing assistance throughout the transaction.
Property owners begin by submitting their contract information for assessment. They then upload supporting documents, including purchase agreements and payment receipts, for verification.
Once the information has been reviewed, Aqar Exit prepares a verified listing and identifies prospective buyers who can assume the remaining payment obligations.
Interested buyers can browse available properties, review financial details and submit offers based on their budgets and preferred installment arrangements.
The company operates a transaction-based revenue model, charging buyers 1.25% of the contract value only after a successful transfer. Sellers are not required to pay fees.
Since launching, Aqar Exit has reported approximately $181 million in closed listings across 638 transactions. However, the company classifies removed listings as closed, meaning these figures do not necessarily represent completed property sales.
The startup has also registered 14,845 property assignment files from 11,833 sellers and more than 67,000 purchase requests from prospective buyers.
Looking ahead, Aqar Exit intends to invest its latest funding in product development and international expansion, particularly across Gulf markets.
The company is also preparing to raise approximately $5 million in 2027 from local and international investors to support its next growth phase.
