Egypt learning startup Zedny receives $1.2 million investment

Zedny is an Arabic learning startup. The Egyptian platform has an impressive 5,000 hours worth of learning open to users. The firm offers years-long learning and can be accessed across the entire Middle Eastern region. The startup can be useful to organization human resource and recruitment departments as it has AI algorithms that act as performance evaluators.

Gamification is incorporated into the HR development cycle so as to help people boost their skills in business. The US$1.2 million investment is courtesy of a few angel investors and will be channeled into scaling and regional expansion.

Mohamed Youssef El Baz, CEO, and co-founder of Zedny expressed how important “businesses start exploring modern L&D solutions ” in their workforce.

Basil Khattab, the CCO, and co-founder, of Zedny, considered the venture as a pivotal solution in Egypt and the region at large.

Apart from Zedny, there is no other localized cross-learning platform unique to the region. The existing platforms are foreign-owned.

Zedny is available on both the Android and iOS
