GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize has launched its 2020 portal which intends to attract Africa’s youngest entrepreneurs in the Agrifoods industry. Their calls are for entrepreneurs who incorporate innovation, technology, and passion for agriculture and food ventures. Up for grabs are two $50,000K cash prices that can give your venture the much-needed capital infusion.

The continent is eager for strong agriculture businesses that will see us through the pandemic and grow our communities as the economy at large. The fund will pick the best male and female entrepreneurs who display an economical and scalable business venture. The other 10 who make it to the finals will also get a support package to bolster their businesses. Over 250 applicants will receive free online training to improve their business ideas.

The selection team will have an eye out for businesses that are original, innovative, can generate traction, have a social and environmental impact, display viability and scalability, are inspiring and worthy of an investment. The application age criteria allow any applicant between 18 to 35 years and are a national of the African continent. The application window remains open until June 18.

AgriBusiness is a trillion-dollar market opportunity for businesses across the continent. An immense investment opportunity for agri-preneurs given the occassional food insecurity challenges that face the African continent. For more information on the prize, follow here.
