The French power utility is popularly documented as EDF. It made a public announcement that it will collaborate with the United States startup called Off-Grid Electric (OGE). The intention thereof will be to actively provide the off-grid solar solutions unto the opulent African market.

The OGE set CEO Bill Lenihan brought forth his competence in line with their intended partnership with the EDF. He is convinced of brighter future since EDF has been the leading power solution industry and therefore he anticipates better services. The reports indicate that early this year, OGE received kind support from the Developing World Markets (DWM).

These two companies recently amalgamated to provide the solar solution services to nearly all the households have now voiced their interest. Besides, they have echoed a proposal to partner with Ghana’s CH Group to enrich the Ghana population with the solar kits.

With this new invention, there is a set established an independent service provider known as the Zegha. This new venture will be taking part in erecting and operating the set solar kits within Ghana’s rural outfits. The power supply will also be supplied to the urban areas with no access to the electricity. The monthly household cost for electricity will greatly be affordable with easy payment modules not limited to mobile payments.

The recent updates inform of a possible partnership with Rwanda’s national utility company as well as the Energy Development Corporation. This partnership is aimed at ensuring that there is sufficient power supply to all the rural households among the Rwanda’s locality. This project is monitored and enhanced by Rwanda’s government, for they adopt this strategy to enhance Rwanda’s electrification.

The reports emerging from the interview conducted by the PV magazine in late 2016, with the CEO, Xavier Helgesen was objective. For it noted the intention of the company in line with enhancing power system to reach the whole of West Africa. It also gave recommendable details of the partnership agreement there are in, with the EDF intending to expand the power supply unto Ivory coast regions.
