Pan-African innovation network AfriLabs has partnered with the Algerian Ecosystem Network (EYCONET) to increase investment opportunities for Algerian startups and strengthen Algeria’s connection to Africa’s wider startup ecosystem.
Under a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding, EYCONET will help identify, assess and prepare promising Algerian startups for inclusion in the AfriLabs Connect Deal Room (ACDR).
The Deal Room connects investment-ready African startups with investors and other strategic partners, helping founders improve their visibility and access funding opportunities beyond their domestic markets.
Through the partnership, EYCONET will support startup sourcing, verification and investment readiness, while AfriLabs will provide access to its continental network and investor relationships.
The collaboration could also give selected Algerian startups access to major ecosystem platforms such as the African Startup Conference, with support from Algeria’s Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-Enterprises.
The agreement forms part of AfriLabs’ broader effort to deepen its presence in North Africa. The organisation previously announced a partnership with Egypt-based AGX Consultant Studio to extend the AfriLabs Connect Deal Room across Egypt, North Africa and the Gulf Cooperation Council region.
For Algerian founders, the new partnership could help bridge a longstanding visibility gap by creating a more structured route to pan-African and international investors.
AfriLabs and EYCONET will now work together on startup sourcing, validation, investment readiness and pipeline development.
