Applications to the AlphaCode Incubate programme now open

AlphaCode Incubate programme opens and aims to identify, partner, or grow budding and innovative financial services, entrepreneurs. Applicants who are successful will receive funding and guidance from top performance coaches where a panel of advisory experts have access to AlphaCode’s co-working area and opportunities to apply for early-stage investment.

Over R30 million worth of funding has been apportioned to 31 black-owned businesses in the past 5 years and qualifies as one of the most prestigious South African fintech initiatives.

Andile Maseko, who heads ecosystem development at AlphaCode, said, “Entrepreneurs have to overcome many challenges when they first start and it is crucial to know how to navigate these challenges for success. Our mission is to help disruptive, early-stage businesses with pioneering ideas to make a meaningful impact in the financial services industry as we seek the next OUTsurance or Discovery.”

Applications will remain open until Monday, 26 October as part of a three-phased process. 30 applicants will get shortlisted for the Bootcamp then after which they will pass through a selection process that covers deliverables and a panel review.

10 entrepreneurs at the 12-week pre-incubation programme will be shortlisted for funding support. He aims to create viable businesses. There will be a demo day where participants will take part in a 6-month step-up programme.
