 Chefaa the Egyptian medicine delivery platform completed a pre-Series A round from the US-based venture capital fund 500 Startups the Saudi Vision fund and The undisclosed sum was made public by Vision Ventures in a tweet, According to the statement, the capital infusion will focus on the expansion of their company services. Chefaa ensures personal care products and basic medicine are available to the masses across the region. This business model is suitable for chronic patients who intend to schedule, order and refill their prescriptions via a mobile/web platform.

Chefaa was founded by Doaa Aref and Dr. Rasha Rady in 2017. Patients can order prescription drugs and other products from pharmacies through the platform. Menabytes did not have to find the investment sum in an article they published on the same, however, itis believed to be a 7 figure dollar denomination. They also seem to have perfected a white-label product and are aiming at launching a B2B service.

Last year Chefaa attracted investment from Flat6Labs and 500 Startups. This amount too was undisclosed, however, Crunchbase gives a cumulative figure of $304,000 raised over their last two rounds.
