Deloitte is planning to invest a further $80 million in its Innovation Hub in Egypt over the next three years as the professional services firm expands its technology and digital delivery capabilities in the country.
The investment will support expertise across areas including artificial intelligence, data, engineering, cybersecurity, Oracle, ServiceNow and supply-chain technologies. Deloitte says the expansion reflects its confidence in Egypt’s technology talent and its strategy of using the Cairo operation to serve clients across Europe and the Middle East.
The Innovation Hub officially launched in Cairo in October 2024 following an initial $30 million investment commitment. The centre was created to develop Egyptian technology professionals while expanding Deloitte’s capacity to deliver services including AI and data analytics, cloud solutions, cybersecurity and enterprise technology.
Deloitte says the hub has grown rapidly since operations began, expanding from an initial team of 23 to more than 600 professionals according to the firm’s latest published impact information. Recent reporting by AU-Startups puts the workforce at more than 900, although Deloitte’s own publicly available page currently cites the lower figure.
The additional investment is expected to deepen Cairo’s role as a technology delivery centre, giving Deloitte access to a growing pool of engineering and ICT talent while supporting international clients seeking advanced digital and AI capabilities.
The expansion also comes as Deloitte increases investment in artificial intelligence and technology services across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, including more than €1.5 billion in incremental investment planned across its wider EMEA business.
