Flash International, the international Fintech company, teamed up with SCHOOLAP SARL to announce the conclusion of an MoU to connect thousands of schools in the Democratic Republic of Congo with a broadband internet connection. Schools can partner with Konnect Africa to receive a broadband connection that opening up the full range of additional services Schoolap offers in education. A keen focus will be on school administrations and how they can access educational content through their online applications.

The first phase of this project will connect 3600 private schools for an entire year. This connection will rely on Konnect Africa’s satellite capacity and technical expertise. Schools subscribed to the Home Unlimited package can then access broadband internet services. The project will then be extended to thousands of schools, necessitating the urgency for digital inclusion.

Flash International previously signed a partnership agreement with Konnect Africa. The agreement sealed was purposefully for the distribution of kits throughout the DRC. Broadband internet connectivity is spread throughout populations in areas with hardly any service. With that in mind, the pricing is adjusted accordingly to ensure affordability and flexibility.

Konnect Africa will witness a rapid spike in in-orbit services following the entry of EUTELSAT KONNECT satellite. Boasting a capacity of 75 Gbps, EUTELSAT KONNECT guarantees speeds of 100 Mbps providing coverage to over 40 countries. Schoolap offers educational content to schools and their administrative management.
