Eyitemi Popo, the founder of Girls Trip Tours and Ayiba Magazine seeks to get $10,000 for empowering women in Africa. Currently, Popo depends on the funding raised from  the crowdfunding site generosity.com

According to Popo, women face various problems when traveling alone in any part of the globe. Besides, she says that she wants to see a state where women explore Africa and exchange ideas without fear. Moreover, she wants the next generation to have leadership skills that will help in the governance of various countries. Popo plans that the Girls Trip tours inaugural tour be in July 2018

Girls Trip Tours assist women in exploring different places in Africa. Besides, Girls Trip Tours supports businesses of women by offering training and entrepreneurship. Moreover, it acts as a travel network that gives women opportunity to travel and offer solutions to various challenges in Africa.

Popo also plans that if they get the funds, they will create a Mentorship and Advancement Program (MAP) for girls. The MAP will target girls aged between 13 and 19. Besides, the program will connect various women mentors in Africa. They intend to launch the program in Accra, Ghana where they will use 20 qualified female coders from Soronko Academy. The training will take two weeks.

Upon successful completion of the two-week program, the members will have training, workshops and mentorship sessions. They will also receive scholarships, internships, and business acceleration programs as they continue networking.
