TechInAfrica – The Government project of NIN-SIM deployment has extended the verification process to July 26, due to stakeholders requesting more discussion about the enrolment systems.

The joint statement signed by government organizations said enrolment systems have rapidly increased across the country (5,410 systems), hence consolidation is needed for the enrolment and the verification process of NIN-SIM.

According to the statement, the number of enrolment centers is already accommodating enough that every citizen and legal resident should be able to obtain their NINs. It informs that as of now, there are a total of 57.3 unique NIN enrolments, with an average of 3 to 4 SIMs per NIN.
