The impact of Covid-19 on the global community has prepared the stage for creative thinkers and innovators to take the lead role in providing ground-breaking solutions that address those challenges. The Union X innovation challenge 2021 is calling for tech-focussed minimum viable products. This is the 4th edition of the challenge and is themed, “A New Discovery”

What is the UnionX Innovation Challenge?

The challenge is an initiative of Union Bank which was launched in response to global uncertainties. This program will unearth cutting edge solutions developed by talented innovators across Nigeria and the global marketplace.

It will support innovative entrepreneurs whose solutions cut across different economic sectors, for instance, agriculture, education, e-commerce, fintech, and healthcare. Here are the 4 stages:

  • The first stage – runs for 4 weeks
  • Second stage – 10 entrepreneurs will take part in the 3-week Bootcamp
  • Pitch day – presenting ideas
  • Final stage – Top 3 to take part in the 2-month incubator

Top applicants are early-stage startups in Nigeria and startups that have developed impactful Minimum Viable Products.

Benefits of participation

  • The top 3 MVPs will receive funding worth 2 million, 1.5 million, and 1 million nairas.
  • Get  2 months of incubation support by GreenHouse Capital.
  • Access to the Union banks network ppol
  • Access the customer base of Union Bank
  • Mentorship
