Lagos Angel Network Opens DealDay Application

The Lagos Angel Network (LAN) has announced that DealDay event application for this year event is ongoing. The event is aimed at offering startups opportunity to secure funding from angel investors. The participants constitute of LAN members, Lagos startup ecosystem, and angel investors. All successful applicants will benefit from listening to the startup the pitch. The event has allowed companies to raise approximately NGN200 million (US$555,000).

First session application is ongoing up to March 24 with the second session application scheduled to open on April 26. Shortlisted startups will benchmark with a group of angel investors and consortium by 26 April.  The fund disbursement and sealing of agreement are proposed to be concluded before the end of May.

Lagos Angel Network raised the startup funding for 2018 DealDay. LAN currently targets ventures with funding capacity of between GNG50 million (US$138,000) and NGN25 million (US$69,000). The startups should have full-time leadership staff and post-revenue stage in order to benefit from the increased funding.
