The University of Nairobi began hosting Nairobi Innovation Week from today. Various startups have begun showcasing their ideas which will finally see 15 selected startups being awarded. The list of all the 100 startups who have pitched the event is available here.

As previously communicated by the organizers, Villgro Kenya will award Ksh 1 million to the best health startup. Moreover, the African Development Bank (AfDB) had also declared their interest to sponsor the High 5s Startup Challenge.

The startups which have pitched the event will compete in various categories such as health and life sciences, agriculture and food security, e-commerce, renewable energy and cleantech, manufacturing and processing, lifestyle and entertainment, fintech, education, and employability.

Over 4,000 delegates have come from various parts of Eastern Africa and by the end of this week, we shall bring you the updates of the performance of various startups. Stay tuned for we shall keep you posted.
