Nigeria investment platform Trove receives funding to scale and grow operations

Trove is an investment app that simplifies the global investment ecosystem to the average Nigerian. The Nigerian startup allows users to invest in Chinese, Nigerian, American stocks, bonds, and ETFs. In a just-released statement, Trove announced an investment from  Nigerian angel investors; SSE Angel NetworkLagos Angel Network, and Diaspora Angel Network – all of whom are local angel networks.

The actual size of the investment was not disclosed. However, it seems sufficient enough for the startup to expand its team and scale its operations. Oluwatomi Solanke, the founder and CEO, said that ” the wealth of experience and support” provided by the investors was “invaluable.”

Funmi Oyetunji, the LAN representative, believes Trove’stechnology solves a huge investment problem for most Nigerians by “access to stock and wealth.”

Gerard Olisa-Ashar, DAN’s representative, discovers mentors, and funds talent entrepreneurs. This unleashes the potential to create real value.

Kelechi Abah, the SEAN representative, was excited over the value created by Trove. Tomi Davies, the president of the African Business Angel Network described this as an “innovative cross-network syndication.”
