BTC held Digital Summit on 8-9July

TechInAfrica – A digital summit was held on 8-9 July 2021 organized by the Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC) as part of celebrating its 40th anniversary.

The digital summit was themed ‘Digital Shift and Technology Summit’, were advances in game changing technologies will be brought to life through real-world case studies, discovery and technical exploration, interactive sessions, and visionary thought leadership, BTC CEO Anthony Masunga explains.

”The summit is geared at demonstrating BTC’s suite of products and services along with the thinking that empower Botswana’s public and private sector ecosystems with practical and actionable knowledge about digital solutions across industry sectors.

 “We are extremely excited about this Summit. What we have in store will allow a business to connect the dots and combine their own unique strategies with digital insight and engineering to figure out how to make trailblazing digital shifts to the future.”

The event was attended a total of 38 keynote speakers such as The President of The Republic of Botswana, Minsiter of Transport and Communication, Hon Minister Thulagano Segokgo, the BTC Board Chair, Miss Lorato Boakgomo Ntakhwana, the Botswana Telecommunications Corporation – Managing Director, Mr. Anthony Masunga, the CEO of BOCRA, Mr. Martin Mokgware, and the Executive Director – Global Business Group Korea Telecom, Mr. Andy Hyun Joo Lee to name a few.

“As BTC, we are truly privileged to set the next value frontiers of tomorrow’s generation. Through the Digital Shift BW, we will demonstrate our commitment and capability to be your digital partner as we transition to a knowledge-based economy,” Masunga concludes.
