According to the Career Junction SA report, in December 2020 hiring and job searching slightly decreased due to the holiday season. The report singled out Information technology as the top occupational field and skill set sought after in the job market.

Software Development is the most in-demand skill-set, closely followed by Middle Department
Management, then Sales Consulting skills. When clustered into sectors, the first is information technology, followed by sales, Business & Management, Manufacturing and assembly, and finance in that order.

This CJI report offers an online labor dynamics analysis of the supply and demand of jobs in the online market for jobs. In December, hiring and job search activity experienced a drop attributed to the holiday season. Marketing, manufacturing, sales, assembly, engineering, and architecture witnessed an increase in recruitment in the past few months.

The CJI narrowed to 99 index points showing stables conditions as per the job market. A less than 100 index score points out to fewer job opportunities for the many job seekers in an advert. Recruitment is easier due to more job seekers in the market. Scores above 100 indicate the opposite – there are more job opportunities and fewer job seekers per advert.
