Dell’s Project APEX: A Simple and Consistent Cloud Experience of IT Purchase and Deployment

Share

TechInAfrica – Currently, the Dell Technologies World event is held virtually. This event began with some information about digital transformation and what is owned by Dell for its customers. One of the pieces of information is Project APEX, which is noted as Dell’s simple, yet all-embracing Cloud-as-a-Service Dell offerings.

Jeff Clarke, COO and vice chairman at Dell Technologies said that Project APEX is presented to bring choice, simplicity, and a consistent experience for Dell’s customers across PCs and IT infrastructure from one trusted partner—unmatched in the industry.

Although some aspects form a platform, Dell has made up two specific aspects that will build the base – Cloud Console and Storage-as-a-Service (STaaS).

Dell explains that the former will work as a device where businesses can bring a single, smooth experience for customers to control their cloud.

Dell also tries to make it as easy to use as possible, by observing that businesses will be allowed by Cloud Console to explore the marketplace and order the cloud service and as-a-Service solution quickly to fulfill their demands.

Dell mentions that its customers can spread workloads, control their multi-cloud resources, supervise their costs in real-time, and add abilities with only a few clicks.

According to Dell, STaaS is a local solution that should be provided in certain regions (namely the US) in the first half of the next year. Some capabilities involved in STaaS are scalable and elastic storage resources that will bring block and file data services and a broad range of enterprise-class features.
