TechInAfrica – Glamera, Egyptian beauty services booking platform, has announced that it raises $250,000 in a seed round to help the startup expand its services. According to MENAbytes, it didn’t want to mention the name of the investor and only said that it was from a Saudi Angel investor.

Glamera was founded last year by Mohamed Hassan, Omar Fathy, and Zafer Alshehri. It offers its services via a mobile app – which is available both on Google Play Store and App Store – allowing users to make an appointment for various beauty and health services at beauty salons, clinics, spas, gyms, as well as dental clinics.

Glamera provides lists of services from different partners. It allows its customers to have many options for services and see their prices, book appointments, make payments via various payment options, and rate their experiences on the app. In addition to the features, there is also an app for partners in order to enable them to manage the bookings.

According to Mohamed Hassan, the Co-Founder and CEO of Glamera, who told MENAbytes, they currently already have more than 200 partners in Cairo signed up for the app to sell their services. Moreover, it also has facilitated thousands of bookings since the inception of the app. The Glamera mobile app is already downloaded by over 20,000 users.

When asked about its future plan, Glamera said that it planned to expand its services in Cairo and three other places in Egypt that include Alexandria. The plan will be executed later this year with the main goal to attract more partners at least 1,000. Additionally, it also plans to expand its services to Saudi next year.

The Cairo-based startup currently employs a team of 35 people and will use the investment to support its service expansion.
