Fastagger Inc, a Kenya-based AI and blockchain business, recently announced an undisclosed investment from global blockchain investor CV VC. Fastagger plans to extend its “cutting-edge technology skills” in AI and blockchain, according to Mutembei Kariuki, the startup’s CEO.

In a Kenyan Wallstreet story, Kariuki talked about his company’s focus and how the financing will help the startup grow.

“Our main goal is to create new opportunities for businesses and people by coming up with new ways to use the best of both worlds.

I’m sure that this investment will help us grow faster and make our vision a reality. Kariuki is said to have said, “Our team is excited to work with CV VC to reach our goal and make a real difference in the world.”

Kariuki called the CVVC investment a turning point for Fastagger and the African startup ecosystem. However, David Long, Principal and Global Head of Investments at the venture capital firm, said that funding the startup aligns with the firm’s larger goal of “fostering the growth and global adoption of blockchain technology.”

David Long says that the venture capital firm chose Fastagger because it shows the “quality of innovation and talent coming out of Kenya’s Web3 and AI environment.” The firm has previously backed African blockchain companies.
