Following POPIA compliance, and Webber Wentzel partnered to ensures businesses readiness

TechInAfrica – In taking the POPIA compliance from 1 July 2021, Leading SA law firm Webber Wentzel and cloud software provider formed a partnership to help SA business owners completed the requirements.

The POPIA compliance means to protect individual’s privacy and to give them the option of how much information can be retained by companies.

For companies themselves, following the POPIA regulations is necessary as 10-year imprisonment and R10m fines await for those who fail to comply with the rules.
