Airbuy is an accepted online payment platform that gives the African business partners to make immediate online payments across the globe. It is convenient since one does not have to use a credit card nor a debit card to make prompt payments. Therefore, it is more secure since it eliminates the risk that may emanate from sharing personal bank details when making payments. Airbucks is the platform used for making payments. Therefore, Airbucks act as tokens when making payments through the platform. Besides, customers can earn tokens via marketing campaigns and promotions. One can also access the tokens through direct deposits into the platform.

The initial startup is based in Tshimologong. It has three founder technical entrepreneurs. Makhathini who is the head of business development in this initial startup expounds on their intended partnership with various financial institutions. The aim of this partnership is thus to ensure, more financial services and products are available across the continent. However, this is challenging due to the increasing crime scenes evident across the globe.

The MIT Global Startup Labs is a securely innovative programme. It is enriched in providing technology entrepreneurship in the marketplace initiated the startup. This new startup thus gives the Africans, the sounding opportunity to successfully trade online limiting the risks associated with cybercrimes.
