MTN Makes 5G-Enabled iPhone 12 Available in South Africa

TechInAfrica – It is announced that the 5G-enabled version of the Apple iPhone 12 will be available in South Africa. MTN will launch the popular device and make it the only network licensed to enable 5G on the new iPhone 12, from December 2020, into early 2021

Giovanni Chiarelli, Chief Technology & Information Officer at MTN South Africa, says that the company is honored to be one mobile network in South Africa allowed to support 5G on the Apple iPhone 12. MTN is likewise glad to declare the deployment of 5G at chosen MTN stores in its 5G-empowered inclusion zones. 

MTN has planned for this deployment for years, and the Apple test confirms that MTN’s movement of building a strong foundation to grow and support its 5G ecosystem has been time well-spent.

MTN conveys 5G availability on four diverse spectral bands across more than 100 locales around the nation, with admittance to this new age innovation opening the full capacities of cutting edge administrations, similar to the most recent iPhones, yet additionally virtual and expanded reality, ultra-high-definition video streaming, artificial intelligence, robotics, automated cars, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
