TechInAfrica – In collaboration with Mdundo, music distributing and streaming service of Africa, Vodacom Tanzania stated that both of them will launch a new music bundle for the telecom’s subscribers.

This new premium music bundle will provide access for Vodacom Tanzania subscribers to Mdundo’s premium service, according to TechCabal. Furthermore, subscribers can explore a variety of curated mixes from some of Tanzania’s famous DJs.

Nguvu Kamando, Vodacom Tanzania’s head of Value Added Services mentioned that they see the importance of providing one package which covers all music genres, instead of struggling and moving from one platform to another. For that reason, Vodacom Tanzania was induced to work with Mdundo.com.

Mdundo, as the music distribution and streaming service in Kenya, expects that it can be a one-stop solution for music lovers in Africa. Also, to help users enjoy the unlimited song from their most loved artists.

Mdundo itself was established in 2021 by Martin Nielsen, a Danish native. Currently, this Kenyan music monetization platform has been used in 10 countries around the Africa continent. Mdundo hopes that it can expand its operation throughout Africa.

Mdundo was officially inaugurated in 2013 and has worked with some famous companies such as Airtel and Microsoft in the past. It has not been too hard to develop a music business in Kenya, according to the CEO and co-founder of Mdundo. It was because the music industry has not owned a solid online distribution and monetization platform yet.

The goal of this company is to create a simple way for new artists to become the part of the platform and sell their music. However, it is still difficult for Mdundo to discover the right payment methods to combine into their service, according to the co-founder, Martin Nielsen.
