Sandras Phiri has recently stepped down from his position as Startup Grind Cape Town’s chapter head. The present Startup Grind Global Community Vice President, Guillaume De Smedt, will continue from where Sandras stopped. Guillaume was the head of the Cape Town Chapter, until Sandras Phiri took over in 2017.

Why Sandras Phiri is stepping down

Sandras Phiri has been an outstanding visionary leader, entrepreneur, and friend since he took the leadership position in the Startup Grind. He has also been with Startup Grind for six years. After attending Startup Grind Bali, Indonesia, Phiri has functioned as director for Startup Grind Lusaka, Zambia.

The thing is there is no bad blood between Phiri and those behind Startup Grind. TechInAfrica understands that the reason why Phiri is stepping down is to pay more attention to his new business, StartupCircles.AI.

According to Phiri’s, his primary goal will always be to help entrepreneurs to establish their businesses. Thus, he will still be in the entrepreneurial space. He has got the needed investment to take StartupCircles.AI to the next level, hence the decision to resign from Startup Grind as the head.

StartupCircles.AI is one of the top online accelerator and startup schools in Africa, with mentors and investors from different parts of the world.
