Talabat achieves high security standard PCI-DSS Level 1 Certification on all 8 operational markets

Leading MENA food delivery and q-commerce platform Talabat has proudly announced achieving a Level 1 certification in the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) a security standard formed in 2004 looking to safely secure online credit and debit card transactions against data theft and fraud.

Talabat is the only food and q-commerce delivery platform in MENA to achieve this PCI-DSS certification. This set of security standards was formed in 2004 and aims at securing online credit and debit card transactions against theft and data fraud.

The company has the PCI-DSS Level 1 Certification in all its eight operational markets among them Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, UAE, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, and Qatar. Khaled Rashad, Talabat CTO described the PCI-DSS Level 1 Certification said, “for us as we are proud to be the first and only food and q-commerce delivery platform in the MENA region to have achieved this certification.

PCI-DSS stands out as the global industry compliance and security standard dedicated to securing cardholders’ data, and stands out among the most stringent security standards offered in the market.
