Share

VMware, a software company, said its VMware Cloud on AWS service is now available in the AWS Africa (Cape Town) Region.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) and VMware worked together to make VMware Cloud on AWS an integrated cloud service.

It lets users move and expand their VMware vSphere-based environments on-premises to the AWS Cloud running on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), which provides a highly scalable and secure service.

In a statement given to Techloy, the company said that with VMware Cloud on AWS, African customers could run workloads across VMware vSphere-based hybrid cloud environments with optimized access to Amazon Web Services.

The cloud offering adds VMware’s enterprise-class software-defined data center software to AWS’s bare metal infrastructure so that both virtual machines and containers can run enterprise workloads more securely at scale.

VMware and AWS have a long and fruitful relationship. Each organization has dedicated sales, solution architects, and customer success teams to assist customers in realizing the benefits of VMware Cloud on AWS.
