Many startups have gone through many challenges across the world. Some of the challenges include poor mentorship and low market entry strategies. Besides, we cannot forget inadequate or lack of funding. There is a call to have enough capacity building. It will ensure attractiveness to investors and growth of startups. Techpoint comes in handy to help startups overcome the challenges they face. The platform is planning to nature at least 3,000 Nigerian startups, and this will be a huge support.

Upcoming business owners should get education on the best practices, business models, and structures. This came out during the Techpoint Build 2018 that was hosted in Lagos. Techpoint Build aims at nurturing many startups in 2018. The platform will link participants to professionals who will offer expert advice at no cost. Moreover, the advice will cover legal, technical, public relation (PR) and business development.

Techpoint Build takes place every year. It aims at increasing local investments into the local startup ecosystem. Many of local startups have tried to fill the funding gap, but it still calls for more startups to embrace the same spirit. Some of the investors who have funded the local startups include Lagos Angel Network, Y Combinator, and 500 Startups. However, many investors have the interest to fund the local startups. However, since they do not know the local space, they cannot do that.

Techpoint has decided to outsource to such investors and bring them to the local scene. Moreover, the Nigerian startups have later on benefitted from such moves. Entrepreneurs should understand that there are several processes that each business should undertake. Businesses should be working to achieve their goals as a team. A good example is Farmcrowdy that underwent 98 pitches before becoming a success. Constant persistent will make the local startups successful.
