Airtel Money, Prudential Uganda, and Turaco Join Forces to Introduce Affordable Health Insurance

Share

Airtel Mobile Commerce Uganda Limited (AMCUL) has launched a new partnership with Prudential Assurance Uganda Limited and Turaco Insurance Brokers Ltd. This cooperation aims to make it easier for low-income families and underserved communities in Uganda to get insurance.

The new hospital cash insurance product, “Hospital Sente,” is meant to make it easier for Airtel Money subscribers to pay for hospital stays and funerals.

The program is available through Airtel Money, powered by Turaco, a micro-insurance platform that provides fast, easy, and inclusive insurance solutions in emerging markets. Prudential Uganda backs the product.

By dialing *185*7*6#, customers can quickly get to the product through Airtel’s Mobile money platform.

Hamza Mutebi, the General Manager of Turaco, said this about the partnership: “Strategic partnerships like this are still critical to give underserved Ugandans access to affordable insurance that gives them a safety net when they need it and, in the end, peace of mind.”
