The global leader in blockchain ecosystems and cryptocurrency infrastructure, Binance, announced that it had established a fiat gateway for the South African Rand as it continues to extend its range of products and strengthen its position in the region.

Because of this new feature, customers from South Africa will now be able to make instant and risk-free deposits via Instant EFT on the Binance platform.

The South African Rand (ZAR) may now be instantaneously deposited by users into their Binance wallets, allowing them to buy cryptocurrencies and providing South Africa with a new and competitive gateway for fiat currency. Additionally, they can change ZAR into Bitcoin, Binance USD, Ethereum, Tether, and Binance coins.

At Binance, our objective has always been to increase the use of cryptocurrencies and to broaden people’s access to financial services.

Hannes Wessels, who was just appointed to the role of nation Lead for Binance in South Africa, expressed his excitement at the company’s decision to move on to the next phase of its plan to simplify the process by which South Africans can gain access to digital assets.

Binance started as a crypto-to-cryptocurrency exchange in July 2017 and quickly grew to become the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world.

Today, Binance is a global blockchain ecosystem that includes trading services, infrastructure solutions, educational resources, research, social good and charity programs, investment and incubation programs, and more.
