The co-founders of DusuPay (global payments platform), John Kigony, and Ntende Kenneth have launched a new startup despite their current running of Uganda fintech DusuPay. MonkeyPesa is an all-inclusive business management software offering sales, marketing, and accounting software in one platform. The platform has been live for a while now as the developers work on new sales, HR & marketing items.

According to reports on Disrupt Africa, the founders at MonkeyPesa are basing the working model on Zoho. In addition, they intend to plug into the market gap on enterprise software that currently exists in the continent. Despite Microsoft and SAP offering similar services, their pricing remains way out of reach for most African SMEs.

Thus far, the startup has signed up over 1000 enterprise users who access the platform via the SaaS model. In addition to the software element, the team has a consultancy wing that advises businesses on how to restructure their marketing, sales, and management sectors.
