Jumeni, a software company in Ghana has developed a digital platform that helps in waste management. The solution includes a recycling and waste collection service. Dispose Green offers a fast and easy way to get rid of waste by connecting customers to a vast network of waste collectors. The service offers recurring pickups, on-demand pickups, waste bins, and waste recycling.
Jumeni was founded by Eyram Amedzor, who has a computer science background, and Emmanuel Oduro. They developed the Jumeni software back in 2018 after their research revealed that waste management companies in Ghana face serious delivery challenges. Eyram Amedzor has also been shortlisted for this year’s Africa Prize for Engineering and Innovation.
