The use of social media platforms has become the order of the day by many Kenyans. Many of the Kenyans are using the social networking apps to air out their opinions. Furthermore, they use the app to chat with family and friends. They also use it to address important issues affecting the society. However, Facebook is the most popular platform both globally and locally. This is attributed to the fact that it’s the longest serving social app.

Furthermore, it is still in the revolution since it is upgraded every time. The platform can also be used by anyone since it does not require much knowledge to operate it. The platform is being used by people from all the age brackets both old and the young. Given the high number of phones that are getting into the Kenyan market, it makes it easier to access the platform. The funniest thing is that even those who were against the constant usage of phones are now frequent visitors to the platform.

Sometimes back one’s way of civilization was on how frequent they visit Facebook. However, most youthful Kenyans spend much of their time on social media platforms. This move has helped the local network providers to get maximum profit. For example, Telekom has been doing well in the recent past. Telkom is the third largest mobile internet provider in Kenya.  However, the platform has not been able to offer the network to all part of the country. One cannot access Facebook in some areas without having a smartphone.

Dubbed Facebook Bila Net, this plan has been around for some time. Just as the name puts it, it allows customers to access services without an internet connection. It allows users to subscribe to three different plans. There is a daily subscription that goes for KES 10 and weekly one worth KES 50/.  There is also a monthly subscription for KES 100. The monthly subscription is seen as the best one.

The subscriptions allow one to check notifications and updates and sending status updates. One can also reply to the messages ones contacted. The user is also able to chat with various people and post in many communities at the same time. To subscribe customers are only needed to dial *32# and follow the instructions.
