MediaTek teams with Egyptian companies to manufacture educational tablets

MediaTek, a Taiwanese fabless semiconductor company, to cooperate with Egyptian government agencies to develop educational tablets. The announcement was made by Ramy Osman, MediaTek’s Director for the Middle East and Africa (MEA).

Osman highlighted the company’s cooperation with government agencies in the sectors of electronic manufacturing and in local production. During the online seminar, he pointed out the significance of the Egyptian market in the Middle East region.

Osman also pointed out cooperation between Egyptian government agencies in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and fifth-generation technology.

During the online seminar, MediaTek mentioned partnerships with local manufacturers such as the Al Araby Group that will produce television sets, and home appliance sets in a 3-year deal.

Home appliances will have underlying Internet of Things (IoT) and AI technology by end of 2022.
