Meet Philipp Bolliger, Chief Executive Officer of Thingstream

TechInAfrica – Zurich, August 1, 2018: Thingstream announced its chief executive officer, Philipp Bolliger just today. Bolliger showed his impressive work by earning a significant growth of the company last year. He is now given a responsibility to expand the business internationally enlarge to more business industries.

Bolliger worked at Husqvarna Group as Global Director of Smart Systems. In 2009, he pioneered the field of smart objects by building up a start-up company named Koubachi before it was owned by Husqvarna Group in 2015. Since then, he has led the smart products category at GARDENA, a division of Husqvarna Group for innovation. He also extended his experience in the Internet of Things (IoT) as well as the technology of home automation. He holds Master Degree of Computer Science and Ph.D. of Ubiquitous Computing which he earned from ETH Zurich.

His working history in the IoT industry makes him an experienced CEO and fully trusted by Thingstream to succeed its ambitious plans for the whole and upcoming years.

He stated: “Thingstream has shown me that they have a unique as well global solutions for the business majorities to land on the business as first-timers. It gives me a big excitement. I am both passionate about and experienced in the field, thus, it’s a perfect opportunity for me. I feel really honored to have given the chance by Thingstream to earn much more growth to the company. I am looking forward to working with the extraordinary team we have created.”

Bolliger will soon be a part of the team at  IoT Solutions World Congress  this year which is held in Barcelona from October 16 through October 18. As it is located at C320, they’re also expecting a few global partners to join and presenting a lot of live IoT integrations.
