PAYFORT And FlyEgypt Partnership For New Online Payment Solution


TechInAfrica – On Wednesday (04/09), flyEgypt chose PAYFORT’s online payment services for more payment options to offer to passengers.

Egypt’s hybrid airline has faced challenges on a low-cost carrier. As explained by the CEO, Captain Ihab El Tahtawi, “Beyond the legislative challenges that affect everyone in the industry, the biggest challenge we face is a lack of local and regional understanding of the low-cost carrier/hybrid business model, which is why we chose PAYFORT as our preferred payment service provider.”

Leading airline companies are choosing PAYFORT for its operational excellence, sustained scalability, increase affordability, constant availability, innovative payment services set that proven to increase conversion, and the reduced cost that allows them to focus on their core business, PAYFORT Managing Director, Omar Soudodi said.

With the partnership, flyEgypt expects to expand its business and innovation on a big scale, as demonstrated on the novel online payment solution for passengers, thus granting the airline an opportunity to improve the passenger experience.


As PAYFORT keeps its persistence on improving its services, it will help flyEgypt increase the ratio of successful payment a ticketing process at a transactional level while transferring its vast knowledge and expertise to support the airline. With the solution, PAYFORT allows passengers making payments using globally accepted credit or debit cards. For example, Egypt’s national debit card, MEEZA, and Mada, Saudi Arabia’s national debit card can be used by customers upon payments.

FlyEgypt will rely on PAYFORT within the airline industry to the international banks, technology providers and card schemes as the company continues to evolve its business, such as enlarging the scope of available payment channels for online customers, maintaining a simple transaction process.
